Thinner

In the beginning of Stephen King's career, he was so prolific that he was unable to officially publish under his actual name due to the perception that his reading audience would balk at his productivity. He chose to write under a pseudonym, Richard Bachmann.  This happened with a few of his books, Rage, The Long Walk, Roadwork, The Running Man, and most notably, ThinnerThinner is an especially disturbing novel, one in which the central character slowly wastes away— literally. It wasn't one of King's most successful books, but nonetheless it grew in popularity and became widely available in paperback—that is, once it was revealed that the books actual author was Stephen King.

However, this edition features no actual reference to its real author, Stephen King, and is an out-of print, limited edition—a piece of literary history. The inside cover features a photo of the supposed author— Richard Bachmann— who is actually King's literary agent's insurance agent, Kirby McCauley. It is in good-to-very-good condition, with some scuffing and minor tearing on the dust jacket. Wrapped in a protective plastic book cover.
